This really is a wonderful game. Shame it never got a US release.

IMO, the fact that not a single Gaia game is available on VC is the service's single biggest crime. Where's Soul Blazer, already?
I replayed this a few months ago and it's still amazing, one of the top 10 SNES games for sure.

I agree with all of you. I own all three Gaia titles for the SNES, and there is absolutely no reason these amazing action/rpgs shouldn't be available on the VC since Square-Enix has shown no interest in remaking them for any other console.
I had a friend remove the regional boot check on a Terranigma cart for me so I could play it on my US Super NES console. I think I'm also going to review these other two custom carts I have, Star Ocean and Secret of Mana 2, which both have the English translation on the carts. I'm working on the artwork and screenshots now.

Oh, man! This game is at number one on my Top Most Wanted list; the music I've listened to (I probably shouldn't have, but eh, I don't know how to import) and what I've heard of the plot have me very interested. SoulBlader/SoulBlazer {JP/NA-EU} was a very enjoyable game from beginning to end. I've yet to play Illusion of Gaia/Time {NA/EU}, but it's so rare nowadays that even eBay does not have it under PayPal (not like it's gonna come to the VC anytime soon, but anyway). As for Terranigma, I'm planning on importing it someday, but until I play IoG and obtain an adapter (or learn how to remove the regional boot check from a non-NA cartridge), that's out of the question.
Why oh why oh why oh why oh why did Enix not release this game in the States?!

Terranigma is one of them games that many people havent heard due to its non us release. Its a great little RPG by little i mean massive. The gameplay in this game is huge and goes from the creation of the Earth to the death of the planet. The story is really moving and the ending does have an effect on your if you have a pashion for RPG's. This game should definitely hit the VC but in the mean time you should keep an eye out for this on cart. You may be hit with a high price range as this game is pretty hard to come by and is seen as a highly collectable game cart. I am currently playing through this again and reliving those childhood memories that will stay with me throughout my life.
