More encouraging news for Nintendo
It may not have been Nintendo’s greatest console but the GameCube still managed to shift modest 21.72 million units over its lifespan. However, to put the recent success of the Wii in sharp perspective, the console is about to surpass the GameCube’s lifetime sales despite only having been on the market for just over a year.
Nintendo’s figures state that as of December 2007 the Wii had shifted an astonishing 20 million units of hardware.
Clearly 2008 is going to be another storming year for Ninty and the Wii!

Well that is definitely a good thing, as it ensures that Nintendo will have a bigger piece of the pie!
