R-Type Boss Molded in Plastic

Posted Sun, 14 Jun 2009 by Corbie Dillard

The big one!

The big one!

Someone had a lot of spare time on their hands.

Ever wondered what that enormous third stage boss in R-Type looked like as a whole? Tired of trying to picture it in your mind through screen after screen of scrolling? Well wonder no more.

It seems someone decided to put together a garage kit of the ship and judging from the picture of the model, it's pretty impressive. It's obvious that someone put a lot of time into the detail shown in this model and they even managed to include the R9 ship to better convey the scale of the model. How's that for style and accuracy?

This week an R-Type boss constructed out of plastic - next week Bowser's Castle made of toothpicks and gummy bears. :D

Very, very cool. :)

Not even a mention of the modeler's name? Seems like the link is down, too.

That's why I couldn't get the guy's name because the link was down. The first time it said that the bandwidth limit for the site had been reached and the next time I got some other weird error.

That is what I call dedication. It can only be this person's idea of what the rest looks like though. It's still impressive.
