There aren't many survival horror games on the Wii U at the moment, with Fatal Frame V, ZombiU, and Resident Evil Revelations being the most notable in the genre. It may be a bit sparse in this regard, but that's all the more reason why 2020 Venture's upcoming game – Chasing Dead – will be welcome. The premise of the title is rather strange, in that a second Earth appears in the sky and you play as a marine exploring the clone planet, which is naturally overrun by space zombies.
The upcoming first person shooter is evidently nearing release, with just a few bugs to be worked out before it gets approved. The developer claims that it's still pushing for a release before the year is out, so perhaps this'll land in the next couple of weeks.

Looks a whole lot of fun. Doesn't make a great lot of sense like a straight to DVD horror film, but looks like a real blast if the pricing is right.
Chasing Dead
Power-walking Not-living
Crawling Ghouls
Strolling Undead
Running Revenants
Sidestepping ex-humans
Trailer looks good.... But it's a trailer, so it would do. I'll keep my eye out though.
wait, what? this game could be coming to Wii U before the end of the year? seriously? if it plays as good as it looks that is great news!
@Morpheel They see mii strolling, they loving!
It would be nice to know if that was PS4 or Wii U footage but it looks fun either way.
It's so weird that a game like this is coming out on Wii U and PS4 of all platforms. I seriously thought the Wii U version will be cancelled. If it's at least decent according to reviews I'll probably get it sooner or later. It's like Doom meets Zombi U.
How good this game is will depend on three things:
Gameplay
Gameplay
Gameplay
It could be a great over-the-top kill fest like Serious Sam or Painkiller, or it could try to be a cinematic, self-important but laughable snooze fest with crappy controls, I'll hoping for the former, lol.
@Morpheel : Running Revenants sounds silly. And I like it.
Looks like fun! I'll definitely look into it. So seldom do indie games look this good, let alone fun. I do agree with some of the comments here of the peculiarity of a Wii U AND PS4 release, but that could be for any number of reasons...I just hope cross-platform play is one of them.
This looks surprisingly decent but considering their previous game 'Ava and Avoir Save the Earth' is the worst reviewed game on the Eshop I won't be getting my hopes up.
@Action51 would that be 12 things then?
Kinda hoping for less terror and more run and gun mayhem. I kinda miss 30 minute single player FPS missions that don't have a short movie every 5 minutes.....having said all that, I also use to walk 5 miles up hill to school everyday and your music is too loud
SPACE ZOMBIES! Sold!
Not been mean, but it looked a bit average, from the actual gameplay that was shown. Framerate was also a bit choppy in places - reminded me of Devil's Third in that sense.
@Gerbwmu yeah I wouldn't mind one of those as well. The Conduit and sequel may have had issues, but they scratched an itch!
Hmm... Looks pretty interesting. I think it'd be a load of fun even if just for some good laughs.
Looks like a great game. Hope it has some online multiplayer in it.
If this is not a buggy mess then they can count on a sale from me.
looks sweet enough and yeah i will buy it if its Physical you ruined my precious fatal frame by lessen it in digital form ¬¬ at least do this right and make it retail!!! lets hope no America for once get things right!!! and weird about Ps4 and wii u better for me the more u games the better!!
looks good. A local multiplayer would be awesome
99% a 3/10.
1% a 5/10.
And good choice to release it next to XCX and Fast Racing Neo.
@sillygostly they run like ninjas.
@Undead_terror lol
Looks enticing so if it reviews well I will definitely pick it up.
@Morpheel some one did this before. I like the "Shambling Necrotic."
Looking forward too this big style but I a big survival horror fan tho lol. If they iron it out about give some Nintendo polish then this could be a hit.
it looks really good. i'll give it a try
Is it coming to Europe?
I'm really happy this is still on the way. i'd like more Wii U games in this genre, and the trailer looks quite impressive! This I will be getting!
