As discovered in August, the upcoming October release Super Mario Party won't be playable with Switch Pro Controllers. Fortunately, it looks like special Joy-Con bundles will be making up for this.
Following the reveal of a brand new bundle for game's release in Europe, which includes a physical copy of the title and a neon green and neon pink Joy-Con set, the Japanese website has now revealed its own Super Mario Party bundle. It will include the game and a neon yellow and neon pink Joy-Con set - with each controller coming with an appropriately coloured strap.
Similar to the European bundle's delayed release, the Japanese bundle will also arrive at a later date on 1st December. The game launch in Japan is still scheduled for the same time as the European and North American release on 5th October. Now it's just a matter of waiting for a North American bundle announcement.
Which bundle set do you like the look of more? The European or Japanese one? If North America receives a bundle, what colour Joy-Con are you expecting to see included? Are you looking forward to the release of Super Mario Party? Tell us below.

I'd consider getting the bundle here in the States if it's announced before my GCU expires later this month. If it cost $100, I would't mind Super Mario Party and 2 joycon for $80!
I got 2pares of joy cons already. first set went faulty after falling from top bunk onto shoulder button but thankful it had a expensive play mat for padding (dont sleep with your switch) ..anyway if ninty provided a black joy con option I would then buy a third pare for sure!
I'd love the Japanese bundle, already have the green & pink joy-cons
Yellow and pink???? If I got that I’d be too nervous about it not matching up with any other available pair, lol.
@ReaderRagfish They pair very nicely with the blue ones!
The Pink joycons would go better with the neon blue pairs to make cotton candy
I wish they’d just release more color options for the joy cons. Orange and Purple for the next set plz.
I already have eight JoyCons (matching pairs of grey, yellow, pink and green) and two pro controllers. I need to stop.
This reminds my that the only neon color of joy-con I don't have is yellow. I don't see that changing, because the yellow is just too bright for my taste.
Was a Red and a Blue with a Mario M Joycon set just too much to do? Even the Wii had Wiimotes for many Mario characters.
@paihia I’ve broken sooooo many joycons from sleeping with my switch.
If they were new colors, I'd have been interested. In fact, I am both kind of surprised and a little bummed we haven't gotten any new colors in a while. As a kid, I loved all the different color contorllers on N64 and Gamecube. Even PS2 and a decent-ish selection.
I feel like later consoles have really cut back on the options. Despite the fact that, at least I don't think it would cost much to have different colors of the same controller. How hard is it to put a different coloring into the plastic mold?
@Chamillion205 thats the beauty of the hybrid! was just grateful for the over expensive play mat the extra padding saved the day n I got my monies worth
All new colors for North America would be awesome, however unlikely. I’d go for the Euro bundle colors as is, to counterbalance the Splatoon set released over here.
I genuinely want to get the green and pink and red and blue joy cons (I originally got grey and kinda regret it) but I'm an adult and have no friends to play video games with.
I can’t wait for Mario party
I already have blue/red & pink/green but I have actually been tempted to get a yellow set because I want the pink/yellow combination. And now Nintendo releases pink/yellow together! Ha. Too bad I have already preordered Super Mario Party too. Well, if they release a good-priced bundle with nice colors here I might cancel my preorder and get that instead, we'll see.
@ReaderRagfish The yellow joycons are the ones I bought back when they released with ARMS, I always loved the way they look! Sorta reminds me of the old "extreme green" N64 controller.
I would buy the bundle if it came out in the US and came out the same day as the regular release, discounted joycon would be nice since the neon red ones I got last year are now having joystick issues. Interestingly the original gray ones that came with my switch aren't giving me any issues aside from the connectivity issues the left joycon had before I sent it back to get repaired for free. One of the unfortunate things of owning a switch is these flaky joycon.. Even if it was coming here in December I don't think I'd want to wait.
I was thinking, "Don't most Switch owners already have all the joycons they need?" But reading these comments, I didn't realize so many people want to fill up a room full of joycons and roll around in them.
I hope the US gets a bundle... with better JoyCon colors...
Welp looking like I'll import the EU bundle. Should still be cheaper than buying the game domestic and importing the joycons. need the splatoon ones since they are opposite of NA and I want green joycons.
They have to, it's the only way to skew the install base the same way they horribly skewed the 3DS install base (get real fanboys, over 90% of 3DS owners have WAY MORE than just 1 system).
I wonder if the outer shells on the JoyCons and the straps are still made from different plastic types, with subsequent mis-matching colors.
@thesilverbrick : I have all of them (plus straps) except for the grey ones, which I have no interest in. I'm keen to upgrade to the Let's Go bundle with all of the custom goodies when the time arrives, but I really must resist the urge to also buy the Smash bundle for the custom Joy-Con and dock (I'll either sell or gift everything else, including the code).
