Saving up for all of your favourite video games can be tricky, and while even the coolest of money boxes can't help you to buy them all, it can certainly help you store your cash in style.
This officially licensed Donkey Kong money box is set to release next month, available directly from Merchoid. It stands at 30cm tall and sees your hard-earned coins roll from the top right down to the bottom, just like DK's pesky barrels.
If you're interested in picking one of these up, you can put in a pre-order right now for £16.99. Hopefully the novelty of watching your coins roll around the game level will make you want to save a little more than usual?

I would of rather had a better built bank with backlighting or something for twice the price or so. But $19(US) for an officially licensed Nintendo product is ok.
Meh, this bank is old and hasn’t aged well. When will they release SNES banks?!?
@bimmy-lee
Yes. With 4K and 60fps?
I love coins for some reason, so I'd really like to have this. Will it be available in the United States?
@rdrunner1178 - Yes, definitely. Unfortunately, I can tell this one will be a real slideshow in the frames department. We’ll have to wait and see what Digital Foundry has to say about it.
@bimmy-lee ba dum tssss
Gotta spend money to save money?
Do you have to sit within four feet, though?
A game built within the bank would be nice, would be a good replica of the arcade game. Imagine for every coin toss in Mario gets closer to reaching Pauline, a penny is a walk, a nickel is a jump, a dime is climb, a quarter is a power-up. If you keep throwing pennies Mario will keep walking and eventually gets hit by a barrel. By the time you know it all your savings in playing this game would be enough to buy yourself a new Switch or Dreamcast game.
@ReaderRagfish LOL
Arcades - the original microtransactions.
This is so cool! I wish I could have it
I want a DK64 coin bank, where it won't even pick up the coin unless you're playing as the korrekt kong.
It really looks cheap and nasty!
Or buy some jam, eat the jam, washout the jam jar, drop coins into jam jar and save yourself £16. Simples!
Man that's cute, and would've been great to have a couple decades ago.
These days, I hardly have any change at all. Nearly all my spending is done by debit card or contactless payments.
Merchoid have some great Nintendo stuff.. Iwoot is another good site
Www.emp.co.uk probably has the biggest Nintendo merch section though.. Its really good
This is false advertising!!! The coins in those images have a lady on em, but the coins here in American Land have that funky lookin chicken on em. I'm gonna sue em for all the nickles they have.
So that nobody monkeys with your money!!! :3
Looks bad No effort.
@bimmy-lee No DLC = Pass. I'll just wait for the golden dollar expansion pack to be released on the eShop.
@nintendork64 - Good call. I’m a day one bank guy, and I always end up getting nickel and dimed with DLC. Best to hold off for a bank of the year edition.
@bimmy-lee Yep agreed. Until then I'll keep my coins in my cloud safe.
@retro_player_22 you mean like your personal arcade where you are the one that empties the money box every friday?
I have a Donkey Kong bank that was very similar to this as a kid in the 80s.
@khululy Yes, being the one to get all the coins is the best job I had. It's the reason why I play the Super Mario games.
I really like it but I actually very rarely get cash out any more so i guess kind of pointless for me really
looks like it was printed on standard paper and should be an Etsy listing
Looks decent.
