Remember back in March when Edia announced it had plans to release a second collection of Valis titles on the Nintendo Switch? Well, it's now locked in a release date...at least for Japan, confirming this three-in-one classic collection will be released on 22nd September.
This second collection, known officially as Valis: The Fantasm Soldier Collection II - will contain Valis IV (PC Engine), Syd of Valis (Genesis / Mega Drive) and Valis: The Fantasm Soldier (Genesis / Mega Drive). As previously mentioned, the "Sound Mode", "Visual Mode" and "Rewind Function" will also return from the original collection.
In Japan, there'll be a special edition of this collection available. It comes with a 1/8 scale figure of Yuuko Asou from Valis: The Fantasm Soldier II (thanks, Gematsu).
If we hear anything about a local release, we'll be sure to let you know. Limited Run Games is handling the release of the first game here in the west, so it'll likely be responsible for the second one as well.

They could have easily put all the games from both collections into one.
I'd personally be more interested in a new game in the series.
It's a darn shame they didn't put them on the first collection, as they could've easily done so. Hopefully, the LR edition will arrive before this releases, so I can decide whether I want to invest in a second collection as well...
Two collections and they still missing one game, that's lame and not worth the price. Konami was able to give us 13 games dammit, when you're worst than Konami then there's definitely something wrong with your company.
This series is far too niche for them to be so contemptibly stingy. It should have all been on a single cart.
Once again, Emulation is always the morally superior option.
@Funneefox I’d say, consumer friendly since you are allowed to have a digital backup of a game you own. Morally… video games aren’t really a right.
Cool, I will try super valis IV in the meantime.
@Funneefox Thieving? How about making your own game if you are really morally anything?
oooohhhhhh I’m gonna steal AAALLL the video games in the world MWUAHAHAHAHHAHAAAA
These games look so bad to me. Oh well, hopefully someone will enjoy them.
@Funneefox Sounds like a plan >
This (and the other collection) both look pretty bare-bones at best unless you wanna argue that they are "translated".
Limited run and their corruption ruins yet another western release.
