Just when you thought that you couldn't possibly manage any more Mario news for one week, Mario Kart Tour glides into view to announce the beginning of their Autumn Celebration series.
In a tweet released by the game's official account, Mario Kart Tour has laid out its upcoming schedule until mid-November, announcing the Halloween Tour as the next major event along with all of the rewards that you will be able to get by placing highly in Ranked Cups.
The first of the Autumn Challenges begins today, allowing the chance to take home 48 rubies upon completion (a total which hardly scratches the surface on any in-game currency purchases, but hey, every little helps).
Beginning on October 18th, the Halloween Tour will bring with it new challenges and the chance to unlock the Red Vampire Flyer kart. We can't know for sure what the tour's circuit will be just yet, but it is bound to choose from one of the series' spooky range - is that the SNES Ghost Valley 3 that we spy in the small event image?
Until then, the game will continue with its current Battle Tour before turning back to some old school racing.

I wonder if they’ll do a movie tie in with the supposed redesigns…
Can we get Ashley? She is perfect for Halloween.
But of course, Miyamoto probably has a hand in this game, refusing to allow characters from the Mario RPGs and Wario games, they should consider themselves lucky they got so many Donkey Kong characters and were allowed to use Dixie.
This is not the Mario Kart update news you're looking for. You can go about your business. Move along.
Awful game. I wanted to like it, but Mario kart on switch is infinitely better to play.
Mario in Tour is the equivalent of Goku in Dragon Ball FighterZ: there's too damn many of them.
New character for placing very high rank position in the "ranked cup"?
Oh my, really it's super complicate get too many points in the races and the opponents in the ranks can have great luck and/or character-car very upgrape
They should add that costume to Maruo Odyssey! Maybe it's time to replay that as I wait tirelessly for May 2023.
No news on battle mode? Got to play it for a couple of hours and it's been down most of yesterday and still is now. Nintendo are shockingly slow at sorting out problems, must have a technical staff of one!
Always find it funny that basically every Mario Kart Tour article gets something wrong...Autumn Challenges 1 began yesterday, haha, though I can't fault you guys for thinking that's SNES Ghost Valley 3. It looks similar, but the walls and the little we see of the layout signal that it's going to be GBA Boo Lake.
Very mixed opinions on the update, it's asinine that they reduced a number of ruby rewards on top of the expensive Spotlight Shop (thus making it impossible for even Gold Pass players to guarantee a high-end driver per tour) and the fact that multiplayer is still down is hilarious, but Battle Mode is cool and I like a lot of other changes
@PikaPhantom are you sure it's Boo lake and not Broken pier? That would answer one burning question! 😂😁
@garfreek Tour alphabetizes its track IDs by game, from what I've heard regarding datamines - and while there's been slots that fit either Boo Lake or Teresa Lake (which I think is the Japanese name), there hasn't been one for Broken Pier. Plus the little bit we get to see shows a right turn and a ramp akin to Boo Lake
I don’t like the sound of a new character being locked behind the ranking cups…
@PikaPhantom cool! Boo lake it is! (Hope they revamp it for mk8 like the other bgba ones! )
