2K Games president Christoph Hartmann is clearly something of a Nintendo fan, and has made some incredibly positive noises to UK trade publication MCV.
Speaking in an interview which goes live on MCV tomorrow, Hartmann was effusive in his praise:
Nintendo always impresses and surprises me. The team there has so much knowledge built up over many, many years. Nintendo always finds its crowd.
There have been people doubting the Wii U because they don’t really understand it. I wasn't sure about the Wii and I was proved wrong, proved wrong by my own people, which I like the most because we sold a lot of Carnival Games. I believe the Wii U offers something special and we will be surprised how consumers will get attached.
There’s nothing in my body, not a single piece, doubting that the Wii U will be successful.
Following the rather negative opinion of the Wii U given by Metro: Last Light developer 4A, Hartmann's comments are incredibly welcome. It might seem like a silly question, but do you think he's correct in his prediction? Can Nintendo make the Wii U as successful as its predecessor? Let us know by leaving a comment below.

Please, less carnival games and more Bioshock.
I can tell his body is ready to welcome the Wii U. So is mine.
With the games linked to this guy, this is great praise indeed.
His opinion is welcome but I do not want more Carnival Games on Wii U.
I agree, lets get some BioShock on the WiiU. Show developers how it's done.
@DarkCoolEdge Give us GTAV on Wii U and you are golden
I doubt theWii U or any other console will probably ever hit the amount of numbers the Wii did.
Nintendo impresses everyone but for what ever reason never enough to put substantial development resources behind its platforms.
Only developer who has brought their A game so far has been Ubisoft.
Borderlands 2 GOTY edition please .3.
A man that cute never lies.
Anyway more games is always nice.
Borderlands 2 on the Wii u please!
Definitely!
Wii U will be successful in the same ways that Wii was - creative and inventive titles that make intuitive use of Wii U's numerous features.
But Nintendo has dug this ditch that they're currently in with Wii U for themselves. They've given the idea that Wii U is this ultra powerful system and it isn't what many people were expecting it to be (sound familiar 3DS?).
Nintendo will bounce straight through all of this unscathed for the most part, but I hope they learn their lesson from this and just keep doing what they've been doing so well for so long now - being Nintendo! Not trying to be another powerhouse "next generation" company.
YEAH! Nintendo is getting back the fans it once had. Now the Wii was the opposite of a failure. And I certainly expect the Wii U to be great too.
More Borderlands 2,and Bioshock, and less of the Carnival Games, thanks 2K.
