A recent ESRB rating has revealed that Brunswick Pro Bowling is heading to the Wii U, and the accompanying box art (shown below) suggests that it is getting a physical retail release.
The original game was released in 2008 and was ported to practically every system of the era, including the Wii and 3DS. Little is known about this updated edition, but we're guessing the gameplay will remain pretty much as it was before.
The ESRB rating hints at a comical side, with cartoon-like animations:
This is a sports simulation game in which players compete against opponents in games of bowling. If players score strikes or spares, "cartoony" animations are displayed on-screen: pins wagging their tongues at a female bowler; a female bowler blowing kisses to knock down pins.
Do you think you'll find this in your stocking at Christmas, or will you be giving it a miss?

Depends on price I guess.
Bowling doesn't really do it for me at the best of times, but if this doesn't have decent motion controls then this game can GTFOOHRN!
I know us Wii U owners are kind of starved for content but... no.
It's a sports game......but I already have bowling on my console so I doubt I will be getting this unless it is $5 in the bargin bin
I suspect that this will be a NA exclusive release, along with Jeopard, Wheel of Fortune and the like.
It will be hard to justify charging full price for a release like this when Wii Sports Club offers bowling at a budget price (or as a separate AU$13 purchase on the eShop).
If the price is right I guess. My 3 year old is obsessed with bowling.
If it's cheap. I won't pay more than $20, though.
And they better not go all Mario Tennis on us and exclude motion controls from the game. Why anybody would want to play a bowling game with conventional controls after what Nintendo accomplished with Wii Sports is beyond me.
Snooze.
My favourite bowling is the extra game in Mario Party 9! That's SUCH an amazing game MP9 . .One of my all time faves
It is an actual physical release. You can pre-order it from the Toys'R Us website. I love bowling so this was a nobrainer for me.
I wonder why is it rated E+10?
What can be done in a bowling game? :v
Those animations must need to be something else to raise the rating lol.
The Wii game by the same name was decent. This has me intrigued.
Why choose this game over a digital download of Wii Sports Club: Bowling?
Additionally, the fact this cover is using an older version of the ESRB rating template makes me sooooo suspicious.
I'll wait for the reviews. But if this isn't better than Wii Sports Bowling I don't see the point.
@Gridatttack : It's due to explicit shenanigans as mentioned in ESRB's reasoning for the rating above…
"If players score strikes or spares, "cartoony" animations are displayed on-screen: pins wagging their tongues at a female bowler; a female bowler blowing kisses to knock down pins."
Depends how it looks plays and different modes plus the price aswell but I may look into it tho.
