We have a mild obsession with incredibly difficult Super Mario Maker levels here on Nintendo Life - not actually beating them, don't be silly, but watching others achieve the seemingly impossible.
Occasionally we share videos of fiendish creators such as Panga battling through their own stages in order to upload them, but we've found a neat example of a player clearing someone else's tricky stage. GlitchCatSeven hit up Reddit to share the happy news that he'd cleared Time for a T-Break (level ID: 99EE-0000-0106-AC36) after 12 hours of practice, with the intrepid Australian claiming the mantle of first non-Japanese player to clear it, and the third overall worldwide. You can see the run below.
In the two days since that video was posted the stage has actually been beaten again - it now has a clear rate of 0.02%, or 4 from 13810 attempts.

Meh... Time should have been wasted on playing XCX.
Makes it look easy!
Awesome! Love watching people clear ultra difficult levels. C'mon Aussie!
My brain can't explain what my eyes are looking at most of the level but it looks impressive somehow
Thats quite spectacular. I hate waiting until noon for Thursday releases, especially on a day off from work and recovering from being sick. I just don't know what to do with myself at the moment. Certainly not play that level. Maybe some XCX like the other guy said. Or should I try that level... No. No. Tis a silly place.
Ah here, seriously, life's too short for torture like that. How is that fun? It's not, it's muscle memory. It's cool and all watching these videos but I'll be damned if I'll put myself through that.
This guy must be part computer, a cyborg.
Here's something nowhere NEAR as difficult! M-Type: Stage II: The Gauntlet! 9976-0000-01AE-362D
That was nuts. I will say that I generally inwardly cringe when I attempt a Hard 100 Mario Challenge and a Japanese Level pops up. It just seems that sometimes the national sport over there is to troll the rest of the world with Mario Maker. They have a very logical and methodical design that just drives makes you paranoid that every next step is a diabolical death trap.
Although they also seem to be notorious for putting death right at the start for inaction. Which is just evil when you have limited lives.

[in Chris Evans' voice] Language!
What really annoys me to no end is how raw star power (relatively speaking) gives certain makers more exposure than others. Not to whine, but I've spent a lot of effort into making some of my stages enjoyable, and yet the people who revel in other players' misery are the ones whose stages are played the most.
Everyone, link to your accounts now!

... Ok ..... What just happened?
So many ways to fail in this short level.
@Sligeach It's not fun for you, that's fine, and there's no pressure on anyone who doesn't find these things fun to play them, or even watch (I know this is trite, but it bears repeating).
However, it always irks me when people claim that these stages are objectively not fun, for anybody. Not fun for many people perhaps, and the majority don't have the time to put in a half decent attempt, but some people do actually enjoy playing these levels. And not just sadomasichists (though that probably helps). I managed to eventually beat this: (https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2015/09/video_admire_the_skills_on_show_as_an_insane_super_mario_maker_level_is_conquered) and it was some of the best fun I've had on Mario Maker, as well as extremely satisfying. Really. I don't plan on making these levels a regular habit. I - like you - don't feel I really have the time. But I don't turn my nose up at the whole concept to try and make myself feel better about it.
You also seem to believe that 'fun' and 'muscle memory' are mutually exclusive concepts, which is silly. Most skills demand some degree of muscle memory, often quite a high degree; playing cello demands muscle memory; shooting a basket ball demands muscle memory; writing calligraphy demands muscle memory; using chopsticks demands muscle memory. Even just walking around without falling over demands muscle memory. None of those things are rendered worthless activities or 'fun-killers' simply because they require repetition and practice.
Anyway, for what it's worth, I thought this was a really neatly designed level, and it was nice to see a showcase of something outside Panga's works.
I would probaly never be able to beat that level
pfffft didnt even beat the world record. Fricking casual.
This one is my best one, me think.

Id love to have some feedback, my levels never get played enough but i think they re worth it! Thanks guys!
Its fun to watch some of these but I don't see the fun in playing them.
I had to watch that repeatedly just to comprehend it. Everything happens so fast that if you blink, you miss it.
Couldn't even beat the world record? What a scrub.
Troll levels are stupid in my opinion and they drive me nuts. Real level making means you can balance a level to be both challenging and very possible to beat. I respect the rare levels I find that are like that.
Wow... I've said it before... but I personally won't tackle something under 0.10% Most levels I make tend to fall between 7-15% or so. If anyone e wants to try some of my levels I'd appreciate it and I'll return the favor, just leave a comment!

Wooooow!
@invictus4000 This isn't a troll level though. It's not unfair. It doesn't play pranks. It just asks the player to do something very, VERY hard.
Most Super-Hard SMM levels are based around providing something for select bunch of players to attempt and enjoy, not around trying to piss off the most people possible. It wouldn't be worth going to all the effort of uploading a level like this if you just wanted to annoy the average joe. There are much easier ways to do that. And they tend to involve a lot of Lakitus and a generous helping of Bowsers.
This hurts my head! Dude has skills! I can barely grasp those Super Mario World controls let alone jump off trampolines in mid air! But since I'm an Aussie I can do this too! Yay!
If the levels re-started instantly after dying, I might actually try some of these. But to me the delay between each attempt is what makes them frustrating.
that is nasty
Evil....plain evil!
