The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild may well be nearing its second anniversary at this point, but players are still regularly sharing their favourite moments online and discovering new things.
One of these moments includes the short video below, in which one player manages to defeat six of the game's most fearsome enemies in as many seconds. The clip comes from Twitter user @zb_yuhudaddy, showing all six Guardians pointing their beams of angry, murderous destruction in Link's direction at the same time. Yes, Guardians get easier to defeat as you progress through the game, but we still wouldn't fancy taking on six of the things.
After making sure that the Guardians all fired in sync, the player managed to perfectly equip six shields - one per beam - as they came hurtling through the air. Only six seconds went by between the first beam shot and the final reflection, and we have to say we're left incredibly impressed. You can see it for yourself below.
Do you think you'd be able to pull this off? Or are you as instinctively terrified as the Guardians as we are? Share your thoughts with us below.

Damn that was nice.
Really wished that the Hylian Shield could have done them all though.
Woah.
Some good skills right there!
'Cool guys don't look at explosions...'
Reminds me somewhat of Evo Moment 37.
By the time I was equipped to the hilt with guardian armor, Guardians are nothing more than a nuisance to me now. I actually now run to them when I see one because free cores.
I wonder what would happen if you just used the ancient shield there.
It adds a nice touch when Link just slowly walks away from them before the explosions 😎
@AxeltheBuizel lol. Quality
@GrailUK
Beat me to it...
"In which one player manages to defeat six of the game's most fearsome enemies in as many seconds." I hear Lynel a-knocking...
@MysticGengar @GrailUK Also beat me to it.
@Giygas_95 @MysticGengar
'You are already dead'
Works as well.
Impressive, very cool.
WHAAAAAT!? That's amazing! 😲
Can someone explain in detail how that was accomplished?
@NorrinRadd Not exactly, but it seems like a combo of perfect guard with shield switching done quick.
perfect guard example here: https://youtu.be/-JuKthrdG6g
Impressive indeed, but... If all Guardians fire at once wouldn't it be enough to just do the trick with the one shield equipped? I mean why the need to change shields? Especially when the Guardians are supposed to fire at once.
Bad ass right there. I love perfect parry and did it to those guardians every chance I could!
@Moroboshi876 I think that the guardians fire at the same time, but link is positioned so that the guardians are different distances from him - beams then reach him one after the other. In switching shields asap after perfect parry, he kills enough time that the next perfect parry is due as soon as the shield is equipped. Maybe...
Okay, walking away looks cool, but I would have to go back and get all those dropped ancient materials. Still, that is an amazing amazing video.
Now that’s an epic gamer.
@frabbit Makes sense. So technically it would be possible to do it without changing shields. Anyway it has to be difficult.
@Moroboshi876 Yeah I suppose! Got to be a reason for the swap though. Maybe after doing a perfect parry the animation takes too long to go back to normal so you have to switch shields and that resets the animation so he can do it again.
Anyway, it's pretty cool
@Iacobus goes to show how tangible the growth in strength and knowledge really is in BOTW. I first stumbled upon a guardian (immobile) in the great plateau at the beginning; I was one-hit annihilated, then came back 5 more times to give it a try before realising that this thing was a god of death compared to me. From that moment on, the best I could hope for when seeing (or hearing) one of those things was to escape with my life. I was hundreds of hours in and well past the point of being beefed up enough before I was able to take on a guardian without literal fear sweats... But yes eventually you get to the point where you can just run up and chop them like candy boxes.
@TheFongz I remember coming across them for the first time as well. I learned quickly to avoid them when possible.
And, oh, what a feeling it was to take them down a notch once I got geared. Little foxtrotters had it comin'. lol
Guardians didn't bother me, especially once I had some decent gear, but Lynels......those things are pure evil and I never did take one down. I just ran away from them by about the 4th or 5th one I encountered.
@Gerbwmu with Lynels, cooking is your friend. Eat something super-tough, come in stocked with a few roast durians for extra lives, and from there you can concentrate on offense instead of defense. Of course the old freeze-em-with-stasis trick always helps. And once you kill one, you can use its kickass weapons to go after some more.
Link: you are already dead.
Wow, a true master!
