Following on from the release of "Speed Life" by Stéphane Legar last week, we've now got another video clip, this time by singer, rapper and song writer Kid Cudi. This track is titled "Stars in the Sky" and admittedly does a better job incorporating references to the Sonic video games and his second big-screen outing, arriving in cinemas soon.
You can hear the full song in the music video below:
You can have a listen to the other song "Speed Life" in our previous post. What do you think of the latest track released to the public? Are you looking forward to this movie? Leave a comment down below.

This was better than that other French song
Kid Cudi..welp that's a pass.
This is atleast slighty better than the French song from earlier, and music video is closer to Speed Me Up's too in terms of presentation. Overall its fine but nothing to brag much about imo.
The song name just makes me think of Mario! Should have been "Rings in the sky".
Holy shirt what a terrible song. Fast forward to any time in and and it sounds exactly the same from where you were. I was hoping for a more spaced out song like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JIqDM0ubn5E
Will anything ever beat “Can you Feel the Sunshine?”
I reiterate: because of course.
I like it, it reminds me of his more upbeat Hip Hop Rock from his first album, which is a good fit for Sonic. Video game pop star mashups don't always go good together but I think this one does.
@K1LLEGAL Sonic R was an album, and we don't talk about the game. Still criminal more people don't know Sonic R's soundtrack. That soundtrack alone would be ammunition in a Saturn vs N64/PS1 argument.
@Vincent294 seriously. I haven’t heard it in years and the songs are still there in my head. So good haha.
@K1LLEGAL
Yes. Work It Out from Sonic R does.
I also urge you to check out Metropolis Street Racer soundtrack. On some of its tracks, it has the same composer and the same singer.
It has some absolutely awesome house stuff. Proof:

Edit: Actually, god damn, I need to link this too. It's just too good.

Hating the music from this movie is the new Hating any recent game that Sonic Team have made.
..
..Because we have good taste.
@BadBoyBule I will definitely check this out - thanks! Though admittedly I have no attachment to that game. I secretly enjoyed Sonic R. But will check these out regardless.
Kid Cudi.. did we wake up in 2008?
I don’t care, I quite like Kid Cudi. Speedin Bullet 2 Heaven isn’t even that bad. Mind you, I own both Boris’ Feedbacker and the Spice Girls’ Spice on vinyl so my tastes are somewhat eclectic.
Ok, I gave the song a chance. Even though it was better than I thought, I still have problems.
First the Pros:
Great instrumentation
Music video is gorgeous
Cudi looks like he's into it
Cons:
The lyrics aren't really about Sonic. The only real references to Sonic are the words "rolling" and "zone".
The beat is a little slow, and this is Sonic we are talking about.
There are better artist choices than Cudi, in my opinion.
So, in the end, while I did like the song, my points about Crush 40 still stand.
How can someone that can't sing get so popular. First time hearing kid cudi and there's just no feeling behind his singing in this song.
Would probably be a better song if it was a better singer. Visuals were v. cool though.
@Kolma cuz he usually is a rapper or hummer. if he just hummed then it would be song of the year contender to me
at least wasn't classic sonic, its kinda classic movie sonic
If fans can berate a movie studio into fundamentally altering the way Sonic looks, they can certainly do the same to get Jun Senoue and Crush 40 to headline the movie's soundtrack. Get on it, guys.
