LEGO will be releasing Bowser's Muscle Car Expansion Set on 1st January 2024 for the price of $29.99.
It's the latest addition to the successful Super Mario line and appears to be based on the same car featured in Super Mario 3D World. Here's a bit about it, courtesy of the LEGO website:
Drive and role-play with Bowser’s Muscle Car Expansion Set (71431). This LEGO® Super Mario™ collectible toy car for ages 8 and up has lots of playful features including a lever that makes the hood ornament move or trigger other tricks. The set also includes a brick-built figure of Super Mario™ character Bowser with an Action Tag.
For interactive play, add a LEGO® Mario™, LEGO® Luigi™ or LEGO® Peach™ figure from a LEGO Super Mario Starter Course (71360, 71387 or 71403 – each sold separately). Place one of these interactive figures in the driver’s seat for beeping-horn, running-engine and squealing-tire sound effects and to earn digital coins.
A fun gift for gamers, this Bowser LEGO set is complemented by the LEGO Super Mario app. Download the app for building instructions, creative play ideas and a safe forum for children to share their creations with fellow fans.

I’ve got too many of these Lego Mario sets, so I’ll probably wait until a new Lego Nintendo line releases
This is awesome! Love Mario 3D World and the Bowser car style!
Waiting on Lego Zelda in 2024…..
Revolting.
@Uncle_Franklin What's revolting about it?
Oh my god what’s wrong with your face?!
His eyes...
Not a bad car though!
For $30?? Not bad for Lego.
I love legos so much. Just looking at this brings me joy.
First in line for a LEGO Mario Kart . even with bombs!
So now we have Luigi's Mansion, (Sorta...) Mario Kart and Donkey Kong Country oh... and Lego Animal Crossing.
Oh wow, we've seen Lego Mario sets with enemies etc. that you wouldn't expect, but I'd say this is one of the most surprising ones, pretty cool!
Feels like Mario Lego series is going to be over soon. I was shopping for Christmas presents, and everywhere the sets have been moved to the back of the shops, and lost considerable shelf space to other crossover series.
I think the concept of making all the sets dependent "expansions" that demanded owning a "starter pack" was a massive mistake. Completely killed impulse buys, which is how Lego sells these days. Normally I'd have been the most likely candidate: huge Mario fan, love Lego, many kids and friends in the family that I'm regularly shopping gifts for. I did't buy a single Lego Mario set. Because that greyed out electronic Mario figure on every box is such a turnoff.
I've had mixed feelings for a lot of the LEGO Mario series sets, but when we have ones that work well as a stand-alone set that can make for a good display piece, then I'm happy. This one looks to deliver on that part. I can see myself adding it to my collection on the shelf sometime down the line.
