Topic: Epic Games Switch and Xbox

I am hoping someone can help to help save the little remaining sanity i have left.

I have an Epic Games account that is linked to the Xbox. My eldest buys skins and enters tournaments etc. My youngest plays on the switch, again he buys skins etc. The skins that my eldest buys (Xbox) cannot be viewed or used on the Switch.
1) On this basis, can they be using the same epic games account? They can play against each other at the same time.
2) Can you play and buy Fortnite skins etc without an Epic account?
3) If I were to set up a different account for my youngest (switch) would he loose his skins and progress?

The biggest issue in all is the fact that currently I cannot set up to the 2FA for my sons to both play in the same tournament at the same time. I have created the 2FA for the switch, however it still wont let my youngest into the game.

To be honest, i am at a loss. I have tried to see if there is another Epics account in existence by logging in, stating forgot password and then trying to get the password sent to me. I have used all email addresses that i would use and it still states that it is unable to locate the account.

Any assistance would be very much appreciated.....

@Flynneski123 I'm guessing you're talking about Fortnite? I know in EpicGames' other game Rocket League, some cosmetics are exclusive to platforms, but those are very few, and probably not the source of your issue. I had a good experience when I emailed Epic Games' support. They replied within about 2.5 hours, and were able to answer my question. I think you will have better luck asking Epic Games' support. There's a good chance, here, that you may be waiting a while, or not get a helpful answer. The Epic Games site has a support contact page for Fortnite. I'd paste a link, but when I searched, it took me to a US page, because I'm in the US. I see you're in the UK. So you might get routed a bit different. (I don't know if that will matter in the end.)

I can only make a vague guess that maybe you haven't linked the Fortnite game on the Swtich to the Epic Games account that has the skins. Or, perhaps you're missing a detail to resolve your cross platform account issue, which probably has a simple solution.

If someone else here knows better, by all means, chime in.

It is very kind of you to reply. I live in hope that someone can still assist me further although i will also follow your advice and enquire via Epic Games directly!!
