5. Song of Time
Ah, the song of the Temple of Time itself. Whatta beauty.
Now, does it sound slightly better in the choral rendition that plays while you are inside the temple? We'd say so. But remember that this is the tune you will need to play to enter the altar for the very first time.
Without this song, there's no time travel. Ganondorf wins. Let that one sink in.
4. Sun's Song
Fittingly, Sun's Song might just be the brightest number on the list. This chirpy jingle is what you will hear whenever the sun rises over Hyrule, and we always appreciated just how quick the tempo is on this tune compared to the others out there (even if our fingers never could play it at the desired speed).
Changing the time of day is one thing, but the real beauty of this one comes down to how it can be used to freeze a ReDead in its tracks. It might not be the most OP ability, but we have relied on this tune more than a couple of times after dropping Link in a sticky situation.
3. Prelude of Light
The top three entries on this list could probably be number one on any given day, but we have to pick a bronze medalist and of the remaining tracks, Prelude of Light takes it.
The thing with Ocarina of Time is that you are going to be jumping between Child and Adult Link a lot, so the ability to warp straight to the Temple of Time truly is a blessing — just imagine completing the Spirit Temple without it...
On top of that, the song really is wonderful, isn't it?
